Adventuring showed her affinity for Kentucky Downs as she registered a second course success and first G3 win in the Ladies Marathon on Tuesday, 13 September.
The Brad Cox-trained filly made all when scoring over the same extended 10-furlong distance in the Dueling Grounds Oaks 12 months earlier and once again established an early lead.
Family Way moved up to press Adventuring three furlongs out but the Godolphin four-year-old travelled kindly for Joel Rosario and found plenty after being asked for her effort entering the final furlong.
Adventuring drew clear in the closing stages, passing the line a length and a half in front of 2021 Ladies Marathon winner Family Way.
Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Adventuring had a long break over the winter. Brad and his team have done a great job.We felt that horses that perform well on this track come back and do it again. The two fillies that had the form here ended up 1-2 again.”
Joel Rosario said: “I had a perfect trip and Adventuring did all the work. You can see the way she runs that, if someone challenges her, she keeps moving forward. She gets very competitive when she gets the lead - she keeps galloping and galloping. She looked like she was really relaxed.”
