Anamoe became the first horse to win seven G1 races in the Godolphin silks as he avenged his narrow defeat in last year’s Cox Plate with an authoritative display at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Controversially denied by State Of Rest 12 months earlier, the Street Boss colt had no such trouble this year as he comfortably prevailed over I’m Thunderstruck, El Bodegon and Zaaki in Australia’s weight-for-age championship.

Anamoe has now won G1 races on all four of his starts so far this season and could now get the opportunity to emulate Rising Fast and So You Think by completing the Caulfield Stakes-Cox Plate-Mackinnon Stakes treble.

More ambitions plans for the future Darley stallion include potential trips to Dubai and Europe in 2023.

Golden Mile also continued his fine spring as he followed up victory in the Caulfield Guineas by taking out the G2 Callander-Presnell Stakes at Randwick on the same day. A break is on the cards for the Astern colt before he returns for some significant targets later in the season.

Godolphin’s juveniles continue to shine in the UK, with Local Dynasty becoming the latest Listed winner in Pontefract’s Silver Tankard Stakes on Monday.

Newmarket’s card on Wednesday saw four more two-year-olds triumph, including Adayar’s full-brother Military Order.

Fresh from being crowned Champion Jockey in the UK for the first time, William Buick is due to head to Australia to ride on Derby Day at Flemington this Saturday, with a strong book of rides including Pericles in the Victoria Derby and Alegron in the Lexus Stakes.

Golden Rose runner-up In Secret tackles the Coolmore Stud Stakes on the same card, while Vilana and Brigantine will be hoping to emulate Colette with victory in Australia’s second most-valuable race, the Golden Eagle, at Randwick.
