Progressive four-year-old Beautiful Romance starts her 2016 campaign in the G2 Betfred Middleton Stakes over an extended 10 furlongs at York, UK, on Thursday, May 12.
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained filly cemented her position as a top middle-distance performer with a staying-on third behind Simple Verse and Journey in the 12-furlong G1 QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot in October.
The daughter of New Approach finished fifth over the same trip in the G1 Qatar Prix Vermeille at Longchamp in September and stormed to a comprehensive victory in a Windsor Listed contest over 11 and a half furlongs in August.
Beautiful Romance, with James Doyle in the saddle for the fourth time, opposes seven rivals headed by Journey and last season's Investec Oaks third Lady Of Dubai.
Saeed bin Suroor said: "Beautiful Romance is a filly that I like a lot and is doing well.
"Her last piece of work went well and this distance will suit her. We would like to see the forecast rain arrive as good or good to soft ground will be fine for her.
"She improved a lot throughout last season and we hope that she can be even better this year, although she will come on for the run."
