Bold Act unleashed a storming late run to take third on the line in the G3 Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday, 22 June.
The Charlie Appleby-trained three-year-old, who had finished strongly to go down by a neck in a Newbury heritage handicap on his previous start, was anchored at the rear of the 16 runners for much of the 10-furlong race by William Buick.
Bold Act still disputed last passing the two-furlong marker but powered home between horses entering the final furlong, hitting the line strongly to come out on top in a blanket finish for third.
