Good Contact makes his first appearance of 2015 in the seven-furlong Listed Meydan Classic Sponsored By Al Naboodah Commercial Group on turf at Meydan, UAE, on Thursday, February 26.
The three-year-old colt, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, ran well on all four of his juvenile starts in the UK last year, most recently when filling the runner-up position in an Epsom Downs conditions race over an extended mile on September 28.
He was also second in a seven-furlong conditions contest at Goodwood on September 2 and started his career with two maiden appearances over the same trip, including a length success in a Leicester maiden on August 10.
Saeed bin Suroor said: "Good Contact is making his first start of the year and ideally he wants a bit further than seven furlongs but we wanted to get a run into him. He will improve on whatever he does this week."
Good Contact, drawn nine and partnered by James Doyle, opposes 10 rivals including three-time Australian winner Tashbeeh plus Mastermind, Volatile and Toscanelli, who were first, second and third in the Meydan Classic Trial.
The Meydan Classic has been won twice by Godolphin through Now Spun (2013) and Introvert (2011).
