Maiden winner Desert Tune steps up to Group One level for the mile Frizette Stakes on dirt at Belmont Park, USA, on Saturday, October 3.

The two-year-old filly, trained by Tom Albertrani, quickened clear in the closing stages to score by two and a quarter lengths over the same course and distance on September 11.

The daughter of Street Cry was sixth on her debut in a dirt maiden over five and a half furlongs at Saratoga on August 9.

Tom Albertrani commented: "Desert Tune has been training really well since she broke her maiden.

"She made a big step forward from her first to second start and looks like a filly with a big future ahead of her. I think she will put up a really good effort."

John Velazquez takes the ride for the first time on Desert Tune, who tackles six other juvenile fillies including Saratoga winners Width, She's All Ready and Nickname.
