Dream Of Love secures more Black Type with G3 Oak Tree Stakes third

Shamardal filly Dream Of Love collected Group-race Black Type for a second time this season with a valiant third in the G3 Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood, UK, on Wednesday, 2 August.

The G2 German 1,000 Guineas third, representing Charlie Appleby, broke awkwardly and raced at the rear of the 13 runners for much of the seven-furlong contest.

Dream Of Love made good headway down the centre of the course entering the final quarter-mile and stuck to her task gamely for William Buick in attritional conditions, getting up for third in the closing strides.
