Dream Of Love gained a first Group-race placing as she came home third in the G2 German 1,000 Guineas at Dusseldorf on Sunday, 4 June.

The Shamardal filly, who had failed to land a blow behind Mawj in the G1 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, broke smartly and soon tracked the leaders on the inside rail under William Buick.

Dream of Love moved up to third down the back and the Charlie Appleby-trained three-year-old stayed on to go second just inside the final quarter-mile as Habana started to lengthen away from the field.

Habana readily went clear of her rivals, hitting the line three lengths clear, with Stenton Glider taking second from Dream Of Love with less than half a furlong to race.
