Secret Number made a successful seasonal return in the G2 International Bosphorus Cup over a mile and a half on turf at Veliefendi, Turkey, on Sunday, September 3.

The seven-year-old son of Raven’s Pass, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and ridden by Gerald Mosse, was well away in the six-runner race.

Settled in fourth towards the outside, he went third and raced keenly for a long way as a steady pace was set up front by Blaze To Win.

Secret Number came to challenge over a furlong out, soon went to the front and ran on well to win eased down by two lengths from Elbereth in 2m 32.41s on good going.

Saeed bin Suroor, sending out his third winner from three starters at Veliefendi this weekend, commented: “Secret Number has won well – he had pleased me before this race.

“The pace was slow and this was his first start for a long time, which is why he pulled hard. The jockey did well again.

“There is no plan at the moment for Secret Number, but we will look for another Group race for him”

Gerald Mosse added: “It was a nice and easy victory. We always had the race under control.”
