Panstarr produced another excellent effort to finish a close second in the extended nine-furlong G3 Denny Cordell Lavarack Stakes at Gowran Park, Ireland, on Saturday, 22 September.
Making her third appearance in 13 days, the Jim Bolger-trained four-year-old disputed fourth on the outside of the 11-strong field before moving up to a close third at the halfway point.
Panstarr stayed on to hit the front passing the two-furlong pole and rallied under Kevin Manning when headed by Snowy Winter a furlong from home.
Both fillies were passed inside the final half-furlong by Broadway, who went on to score in 2m 5.01s on heavy ground, with Panstarr battling well to regain second near the line and go down by half a length.
Joe Osborne, Managing Director, Godolphin Ireland, commented: “We were delighted with the performance of Panstarr, who loved the testing conditions today.
“She is a tough filly to have three runs in quick succession but looked a picture today, winning best turned out.
“She loves soft ground and I would imagine she will running again over the coming weeks.”
