Twilight Payment seeks second Loughbrown

Consistent stayer Twilight Payment tries for a second success in the G3 Loughbrown Stakes at Naas, Ireland, on Sunday, 30 September. 

The Jim Bolger-trained five-year-old captured the two-mile contest in 2016, when it was run as a Listed race at the Curragh. 

Twilight Payment steps back up in trip following a series of good efforts over 14 furlongs this term, including an easy win in the Listed Her Majesty’s Plate at Down Royal and third in the G2 Curragh Cup at the Curragh, both in July. 

The son of Teofilo went down by a neck to Flag Of Honour in the G3 Irish St Leger Trial the Curragh in August before finishing fourth behind the same horse in the G1 Classic itself over the same course and distance on 16 September.

Regular jockey Kevin Manning takes the ride again on Twilight Payment, who lines up against seven others including the 2017 winner Renneti, Irish St Leger sixth Cypress Creek and the unbeaten Falcon Eight.
