Ghaiyyath takes a break: set to winter in Dubai

Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby has announced that Ghaiyyath, who staged a brilliant comeback at Longchamp last month, will not run again this season.
The three-year-old misses the British Champions’ Day at Ascot on Saturday, 20 October, and all other engagements.
Ghaiyyath bounced back after a long lay-off to land the G3 Prix du Prince d’Orange at Longchamp on Saturday, 22 September.
Appleby said: “He came out of that race very well, but after discussion with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, it has been decided to finish Ghaiyyath’s campaign now and to bring him back for a series of suitable targets at the highest level next year.”
The trainer added that Ghaiyyath is to take his winter break in Dubai.
