Hidden Gold steps up to Group Two level for the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup over an extended two miles at York, UK, on Friday, August 21.

The four-year-old filly, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, finished strongly to take second over 14 furlongs in the Group Three Markel Insurance Fillies' Stakes at Goodwood on July 30.

She also stayed on well when fifth in the two-mile Group Three Longines Sagaro Stakes at Ascot on April 29, and won on three of her four appearances during the All-Weather season, headed by a clear success in a 13-furlong Listed contest on Polytrack at Lingfield Park in October.

James Doyle, who has partnered the daughter of Shamardal on her three most recent starts, takes the ride again.

Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Hidden Gold stayed on well at Goodwood and two miles is the best distance for her.

"She is in good form and I am hopeful of a good run."

Hidden Gold takes on 10 rivals including Big Orange, Quest For More and Trip To Paris, who fought out the finish to the Group Two Qatar Goodwood Cup, plus dual French Group One winner Tac De Boistron.

Opinion Poll (2011) and Ahzeemah (2013) have won the Lonsdale Cup for Godolphin.
