Kitesurf returns to Longchamp, France, for the G2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil over a mile and a six furlongs on Saturday, 14 July.
The Andre Fabre-trained four-year-old triumphed on her only previous visit to the Paris course when running on well to take the 10-furlong G3 Prix Allez France by two lengths on her seasonal return at the end of April.
Kitesurf also scored at G3 level last year, comfortably winning the Prix de Royaumont over 12 furlongs at Chantilly, and was narrowly beaten when coming home a close third over the same course and distance in the G2 Prix de Royallieu.
On her latest outing, the Dubawi filly finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths in total, in the G2 Prix Corrida over an extended 10 furlongs at Saint-Cloud on 21 May.
Kitesurf, with regular jockey Mickael Barzalona in the saddle, tackles five rivals including Ice Breeze and Mille Et Mille, who have both been successful in G1 races, plus last season’s G2 Darley Prix Kergorlay winner Marmelo.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: “Kitesurf won nicely in the Prix Allez France on her first start of the year and the return to Longchamp should suit.
“She was slightly disappointing last time out and we are hoping for a better performance this time.”
