Unbeaten colt Knightsbridge brings two wide-margin victories into his Graded Stakes debut in the G3 Perryville Stakes at Keeneland, USA, on Saturday, 19 October.

The half-brother to Speaker’s Corner made an impressive introduction for Bill Mott when scoring by 10 and a half lengths at Churchill Downs in November.

Knightsbridge scored in similar fashion on his three-year-old return at Gulfstream Park in March, taking an allowance optional claimer by nine lengths, before injury sidelined the Nyquist colt for the summer.

Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “The timing and seven-furlong distance of the Perryville makes sense as a good opportunity to start Knightsbridge back. It will be good to get him to the track, as he had some bone bruising in the spring and needed a few months of turn out before he could resume training. We don’t have any plans other than this race and will take it one step at a time.”
