Moonlight Magic out to shine at Chantilly

Moonlight Magic drops down in class and trip for the G2 Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein (17.12hrs local time) over a mile at Chantilly, France, on Saturday, October 1.

The Jim Bolger-trained three-year-old has raced over further throughout this season, most recently when coming home a good sixth in the 10-furlong G1 QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown, Ireland, on September 10.

He finished sixth in the G1 Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby over a mile and a half at the Curragh in late June and was the comfortable winner of the G3 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown, Ireland, in May.

The trainer commented “Moonlight Magic is attempting a mile for the first time and we are expecting a good run. He is in very good form and we hope all goes well.”

Kevin Manning again has the ride on the Cape Cross colt, who takes on six others, headed by G1 Prix du Jockey Club third Dicton, from stall seven.
