Godolphin’s Goodwood star Wild Illusion is set to take the ‘Wuheida route’ in her international campaign later in the year.
She will target the G1 Prix de l’Opera at Longchamp on Sunday, 7 October, followed by the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Churchill Downs on Saturday, 3 November.
Wuheida finished fourth in the Opera before a memorable triumph in the Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar.
Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby said today: “After discussion with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, it has been decided that Wild Illusion will take a path very similar to Wuheida last year, with Paris and Kentucky her major targets.
“It was great that she was able to put that G1 win on the board at three, and I am pleased to say the filly has taken the race very well. But she will have a little break now before building up to her autumn campaign,” he added.
