Pixelate rallies for second in G3 Knickerbocker Stakes

Pixelate produced his best effort of the season so far as he chased home all-the-way winner King Cause in the G3 Knickerbocker Stakes at Aqueduct, USA, on Sunday, 9 October.

The Michael Stidham-trained five-year-old, a Graded Stakes winner at both three and four, was pushed along leaving the stalls to bag the inside rail behind King Cause and Safe Conduct.

Field Pass moved up on Pixelate’s outside turning in but the Godolphin homebred stayed on gamely down the lane for Jose Ortiz, edging out Safe Conduct in a sustained duel for second.
