Regia Marina is a possible runner in the G3 Top Flight Invitational Handicap for fillies and mares at Aqueduct, USA, over nine furlongs on dirt on Sunday, April 3.
The four-year-old Medaglia d'Oro filly got off the mark at Aqueduct over six furlongs on January 1, when leading close home and going away to win by a length and a quarter.
Regia Marina, trained by Tom Albertrani, stepped back up in trip last time out in an allowance race over an extended mile. She dropped out to finish sixth, but there was an excuse.
She has joint bottom-weight of 8st in the Top Flight Invitational Handicap with seven declared runners and is due to be ridden for the third consecutive time by Christopher DeCarlo.
Tom Albertrani commented: "Regia Marina lost a front shoe during her last race.
"I am not sure if she is going to run on Sunday as we thought there might be only four runners.
"She is training well and we want to get some black type for her. There could still be one or two scratches and we will wait and see."
