Progressive filly Robillard makes her Pattern debut in the Grade Two Lake George Stakes over an extended mile on turf at Saratoga, USA on Friday, July 24.
The three-year-old daughter of Distorted Humor, who is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, has been successful on her two most recent starts, both over the same distance, including a comfortable all-the-way success in a turf allowance race at Belmont Park on May 15.
She quickened well for a length verdict over subsequent Group Three Regret Stakes third Return To Grace in turf maiden at Keeneland on April 12.
Robillard came home fourth on her debut in a dirt maiden over six and a half furlongs at Gulfstream Park on February 22.
Cornelio Velasquez, who partnered Robillard to victory at Belmont Park, is in the saddle again.
Kiaran McLaughlin commented: "Robillard is doing very well but this is a tough spot for her as she drew stall 11 out of 12.
"We like our chances provided we can work out a good trip. There is a lot of speed in the race, so Robillard will come from off the pace this time. She broke her maiden from off the pace and made the running last time out because there was no early speed.
"She is a nice filly and, while it is a step up from an allowance race to a Grade Two, we feel that she belongs at this level."
Robillard lines up against 11 other three-year-old fillies including Grade One American Oaks runner-up Feathered, dual Belmont Park non-graded scorer Celestine, Canadian challenger Mississippi Delta, who has triumphed three times from four starts, and Wild Applause Stakes runner-up Partisan Politics.
