Verity looking to make most of G2 Beaumont Stakes opportunity

Hat-trick seeker Verity steps up to G2 company for the Beaumont Stakes, with the seven-furlong contest providing the highlight for the rescheduled opening day of Keeneland’s Spring Meet on Sunday, 6 April.
Beaten a head on her debut for Eoin Harty at Churchill Downs, the daughter of Nyquist has won both her subsequent starts on the Tapeta of Turfway Park, most recently taking an allowance optional claimer by just over three lengths.
Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Verity is doing very well as she makes her first Graded Stakes start in the G2 Beaumont. It’s a short field but Verity is only one of two that hasn’t won a Stakes race, so it’s going to be very competitive.
“The favourite Eclatant is undefeated sprinting and her only loss was to Good Cheer when she tried to stretch out last fall.
“We feel Verity certainly deserves to take her chance. Hopefully, she can get a Graded placing and maybe more if we get lucky.”
