Verity picked up a third consecutive win on her Graded Stakes debut with an impressive display in the G2 Beaumont Stakes, highlight on the opening day of Keeneland’s Spring Meet, Sunday, 6 April.

The Eoin Harty-trained daughter of Nyquist, encountering a sloppy track for the first time following two all-weather wins at Turfway Park, soon stalked Stunner in a three-quarter length second.

Having pressed for the lead at the top of the straight, Verity took up the running approaching the final furlong and forged clear under Vincent Cheminaud to cross the line five and a quarter lengths in front.

Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Verity was impressive in her two runs at Turfway Park, and we hoped that she would transfer that to the dirt here. She has always shown plenty of speed and this was a good spot.

“I will talk to Eoin and come up with a gameplan, but I think that she can be opened up to anything. She is a pretty nice filly.”

Vincent Cheminaud added: “I was confident about the seven furlongs and the track today. She is a nice filly – I won twice on her before and, to be honest, I was very confident. I was travelling very well next to Stunner and my filly gave me a very good answer.”
