Innovative Idea returns to an artificial surface for the G3 Arlington Matron Stakes over nine furlongs on Polytrack at Arlington Park, USA, on Saturday, May 28.
The Eoin Harty-trained filly boasts two wins from three appearances on synthetic surfaces, including an impressive debut win on her only previous visit to Arlington Park in a six and a half-furlong maiden in September, 2014.
She also scored on Tapeta in an allowance race over an extended mile at Presque Isle Downs in August and was runner-up over the same course and distance in another allowance contest in June.
The four-year-old daughter of Bernardini captured a mile allowance optional claimer on dirt at Tampa Bay Downs in March and faded to fifth on her latest outing in the G3 Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes over an extended mile on dirt at Keeneland on April 22.
James Graham partners Innovative Idea for a fifth time and the Godolphin runner lines up, drawn five, against 10 fillies and mares including Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes winner Brooklynsway, G1 scorer Personal Diary and the consistent No Fault Of Mine.
Eoin Harty commented: "Innovative Idea has been training at Arlington Park so she doesn't have to ship over for the race, and she has an excellent record on a synthetic surface.
"She wasn't disgraced on her latest start and we are taking on Brooklynsway again.
"The switch to Polytrack will play to our strengths and I hope that it is enough for us to turn the form around."
