Three-year-old colts Barney Roy and Dream Castle are out to build on exciting debuts when stepping up to G3 level for the Greenham Stakes (15.05hrs local time) at Newbury, UK, on Saturday, April 22.
Barney Roy (Richard Hannon/James Doyle) makes his seasonal return in the seven-furlong Classic trial after powering to a comprehensive victory over a mile in a Haydock Park maiden in September.
Dream Castle (Saeed bin Suroor/Oisin Murphy), drawn eight on Saturday, quickened clear of his rivals to score by three and a half lengths in a Doncaster maiden over seven furlongs on April 2.
Richard Hannon said: "Barney Roy is in great form. He is drawn on the outside in stall one of 10, which is not ideal, but the run will do him good.
"We have been pleased with his work."
Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Dream Castle won nicely on his first start and his latest piece of work went really well.
"He is facing better horses now but we have been very happy with his progress so far and I am hoping for a good run again."
The field of 10 for the Greenham Stakes also features Zainhom and Kings Gift, who have both finished second in G3 races, plus Irish Listed winner War Secretary.
