Breeders' Cup 'the place to showcase what you've got'

Godolphin jockey William Buick was ecstatic after winning his first Breeders' Cup race, aboard the brilliant and reliable Wuheida in the G1 Filly & Mare Turf at Del Mar on Saturday.
"This means everything to me," Buick said.
"I've been fortunate enough to have had some good rides at the Breeders' Cup, but until this, I had not hit the target.
"It's joy and relief mixed together, that's the feeling," he explained.
Buick had Wuheida in the box seat, on the rail behind the leader, as they settled down, making full use of the filly's attractive 5 draw. But he was well-prepared if something burst from the chasing pack in the closing stages.
"You recall all the great horses, who have run at Breeders' Cups over the years and got beat. There's a whole lot of them.
"You have to remember that we (from Europe) are going into their (the American) backyard, and they are good at what they do.
"It's us against them, and it's tough," he pointed out.
"I've had a few go's at it. There are one or two races I'd like to have ridden again.
"These are the World Championships, and they are exactly that, in every sense.
