Pleascach is set to take on some of the world's top horses in the Group One QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Leopardstown, Ireland, on Saturday, September 12.

The Jim Bolger-trained three-year-old has already annexed a pair of Group One races, most recently when running on bravely for a neck victory in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks over two furlongs further at York on August 20.

She also scored at the highest level over a mile at the Curragh on May 24, when she stayed on gamely for Classic success in the Group One Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas over a mile.

The Teofilo filly rallied to come home a close fifth, beaten three lengths, in the 10-furlong Group One Sea The Stars Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh, Ireland, on June 28 and went down by a length to Curvy in the 12-furlong Group Two Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 18.

Jim Bolger reported: "Pleascach is very well and we are expecting her to run a good race."

Pleascach, with regular rider Kevin Manning in the saddle, is due to take on seven rivals, who have all won at Group One level, including Investec Derby and Coral-Eclipse winner Golden Horn, dual 2,000 Guineas hero Gleneagles, multiple Group One winner Cirrus Des Aigles, Prince Of Wales's Stakes victor Free Eagle and last year's winner The Grey Gatsby.

Godolphin has been successful in the Irish Champion Stakes with Cezanne (1994), Swain (1998), Daylami (1999), Fantastic Light (2001) and Grandera (2002).
