Course and distance winners Creative Story and Native Approach (pictured) bid for a second Meydan victory this winter in the feature seven-furlong turf handicap on Friday, 14 February.
Both four-year-olds are trained by Charlie Appleby, with Creative Story having registered a first career success when comfortably taking a handicap by a length and a half last month.
Native Approach was a decisive winner of the Listed Business Bay Challenge in December and makes his handicap debut after finishing fifth in the G2 Al Fahidi Fort on Fashion Friday.
Charlie Appleby said: “I feel we have two strong contenders and hopefully one of them can get the job done. Creative Story put up a good performance on his first Dubai appearance and came out of the race very well.
“Native Approach was impressive in the Business Bay Challenge but disappointed slightly in the Al Fahidi Fort. We are hopeful that we can get him back on track here.”
Saeed bin Suroor sends out two contenders in the evening’s other turf handicap over seven furlongs, with Olympic Candle making a quick return to action after coming home fifth in a sprint handicap last week.
Warsong also steps up from six furlongs having gone down by three-quarters of a length to subsequent Listed Dubai Sprint runner-up Haasim in January.
