Criterium Second For Cloth Of Stars

Cloth Of Stars kept on to finish second in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud over 10 furlongs at Saint-Cloud, France, on Sunday, November 1.

The two-year-old son of Sea The Stars, trained by Andre Fabre, broke well and was held up by Mickael Barzalona in second last of the 10 runners.

Cloth of Stars was very keen initially and did not settle properly until half-way.

Last on the final turn, he was switched outside in the straight and made his challenge widest of all.

The colt ran on to take second just inside the final furlong and stayed on without challenging the winner Robin Of Navan who triumphed by two and a half lengths in 2m 15.46s on soft ground.

There was another three lengths back to the third Notte Bianca.
