Trainer Charlie Appleby will wait until after Folkswood and Qewy have come through their final training spins at Werribee on Wednesday before committing to running the Godolphin duo at Flemington's Emirates Day, Saturday.

Folkswood holds an entry in the G1 Emirates Stakes (formerly Mackinnon), while Qewy is in contention for the G3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

"We'll see how they come through it. They are due to have a final 'breeze,' and I will speak to Chris (Connett, travelling foreman) after that," Appleby said before leaving California, where he saddled a Breeders' Cup winner on Saturday.

Folkswood finished an excellent third behind Winx and Humidor in the G1 Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on October 28, and Qewy landed the Listed Bendigo Cup in track record time on November 1.
