King Of Conquest third in G3 HM The King's Cup

King Of Conquest made the frame for a fourth consecutive start with a clear third in the G3 HM The King's Cup in Bahrain on Friday, 7 March.
A winner at the same course in February, 2023, the six-year-old was returning on the back of three runner-up finishes at Meydan, including a head second in January’s G3 Al Khail Trophy.
After breaking a little slow, King Of Conquest soon recovered to lead the 10-strong field after the first quarter-mile until Cracksking took up the running with seven furlongs to race.
Sovereign Spirit and Zagato swept by King Of Conquest over a furlong and a half from home, with the Charlie Appleby-trained runner sticking to his task to take second from Cracksking approaching the final half-furlong.
Zagato closed strongly to get within a half-length of Sovereign Spirit at the line, with a further three and three-quarter lengths back to King Of Conquest.
