Folkswood wins for Appleby in Australia
Folkswood has won the Listed Cranbourne Cup for trainer Charlie Appleby in Australia.
Ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, Folkswood, a winner twice in the UK and also in Dubai, always had control of a race that could lead to a run in next week’s G1 Caulfield Cup.
It also comes after Appleby’s Australian team suffered a double blow at the weekend with Francis Of Assisi suffering a fractured pelvis and Kidmenever came out of his race on Saturday with a minor issue.
