Indulgent out to continue hot form in Distaff

Indulgent seeks a fourth consecutive victory on dirt as she makes her Stakes debut and steps up in trip in the G3 Distaff Handicap (15.38hrs local time) over seven furlongs at Aqueduct, USA, on Sunday, April 9.

The four-year-old Bernardini filly, a half-sister to multiple G1 winner Frosted, has gained two cosy wins over a furlong shorter at the New York course, taking an allowance optional claimer on January 26 and an allowance race in November.

She was also successful over six furlongs at Parx in October, when scoring impressively by three lengths in a maiden, having reached the frame on her first two starts.

Irad Ortiz Jr, who has partnered Indulgent on all five of her starts, takes the ride again on the Kiaran McLaughlin-trained filly, who carries 8st 4lb and takes on five rivals headed by G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes third Carrumba.

Kiaran McLaughlin reported: "Indulgent is a really nice filly and she has shown that on her last three starts.

"She is very talented and we are excited to see her move up in class and trip. She is improving all the time - she looks great physically and is sharp mentally too.

"Indulgent has won three in a row and we are looking forward to seeing how she gets on."
