Innovative Idea takes a step up in class for the G3 Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes over an extended mile at Keeneland, USA, on Friday, April 22.

The four-year-old filly, representing Eoin Harty, has made three appearances at Tampa Bay Downs during the winter and gained a clear success on her latest start in a dirt allowance optional claimer over a mile on March 30.

The daughter of Bernardini came fourth on the same surface in the non-graded Wayward Lass Stakes over an extended mile in January and was beaten half a length when second in mile allowance optional claimer on her only turf outing to date in December.

Innovative Idea, who is partnered by James Graham for the fourth time and breaks from stall nine, takes on eight fillies and mares headed by last season's G1 Cotillion Stakes winner I'm A Chatterbox.

Eoin Harty said: "Innovative Idea is training extremely well. She is a typical Bernardini filly, in that she is getting better with age, and heads to Keeneland in the best form of her career.

"She is coming up against a couple of horses - White Clover and Ahh Chocolate - that have beaten her in the past but, with Innovative Idea being in such good form, I am not afraid of having another shot at them.

"She is a filly who is very honest and tries her hardest. She is doing very well and certainly justifies a start in a G3 contest."
