Local Time produced an excellent turn of foot to capture the Group Three International Istanbul Trophy over a mile on turf at Veliefendi, Turkey, on Saturday, September 5, giving Godolphin a double on the evening.
The three-year-old filly, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and partnered by Harry Bentley, was bumped soon after emerging from the stalls in the nine-runner race.
She raced in second last before soon progressing to fifth on the inside and was asked to improve her position in the straight.
Local Time went fourth and then was switched out at the distance when third.
She came with a very strong run to tackle the leader Rekdhat well inside final furlong and went ahead in the closing stages to triumph by a half-length in 1m 35.77s on ground officially described as good.
Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Local Time has put up a good performance and it is great for her to win a Group Three on turf.
"But she is better on dirt and will go to Dubai where she was unbeaten in three starts on dirt early this year, including the UAE 1000 Guineas and the UAE Oaks."
Godolphin has now enjoyed successive victories in the International Istanbul Trophy, with Shuruq winning in 2014.
