Godolphin's Majestic Queen and Mistrusting both bid for Group Three success in the Japan Racing Association Sceptre Stakes over seven furlongs at Doncaster, UK, on Thursday, September 10.

Five-year-old Majestic Queen (Tracey Collins/James Doyle) steps down in class after keeping on to go down by just over two lengths when sixth in the extended six-furlong Group One LARC Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville, France, on August 9.

She was runner-up in the Group Three Irish Stallion Farms EBF Brownstown Stakes over seven furlongs at Fairyhouse, Ireland, on July 5 and ran on strongly for a decisive win over the same trip in the Group Three Betfred Chartwell Fillies' Stakes on turf at Lingfield Park on May 9.

Three-year-old filly Mistrusting (Charlie Appleby/William Buick) has won two of her three starts so far this year and battled gamely for a neck success in a valuable seven-furlong handicap at York on August 20.

The daughter of Shamardal also scored over seven furlongs in a Newmarket handicap on August 14 and was second to subsequent Group One third Magical Memory in a six-furlong Leicester handicap on May 25.

Tracey Collins said: "Majestic Queen has travelled over from Ireland very well and seems in good form.

"It was a very good run in the Prix Maurice de Gheest. She got into a bit of trouble at the wrong part of the race but it was a very strong Group One and, if she brings that level of form into Thursday's race, she will run a very big race."

Charlie Appleby commented: "Mistrusting has been a very consistent filly. She backed up her win at Newmarket with another victory at York and has the profile to step up to Group company now.

"Seven furlongs is a perfect trip for her, she heads to Doncaster in good order and I think she will run well."

Majestic Queen and Mistrusting oppose 18 fillies and mares including recent York Listed scorers Fadhayyil and Lucky Kristale plus last year's winner Kiyoshi.
