McEvoy bids for Caulfield Cup repeat on Scottish

Kerrin McEvoy has been snapped up for the ride on Godolphin import Scottish in the G1 Caulfield Cup on October 15.
McEvoy won the 2008 Caulfield Cup on the Saeed bin Suroor-trained All The Good, marking one of the high points of his 11-year association with Godolphin/Darley in Australia and Britain.
Trainer Charlie Appleby was delighted to have secured the experienced McEvoy.
"Kerrin knows Melbourne so well, and he also has plenty of know-how when it comes to riding European horses. He is ideal for the job," Appleby said.
Scottish, a son of Teofilo, has enjoyed a trouble-free preparation for his first trip to Melbourne. He is one of 6 Godolphin horses in quarantine at Werribee in Australia, prior to starting their campaigns.
