Mountain Breeze runner-up in G3 Sweet Solera Stakes

Mountain Breeze finished second on Newmarket’s July Course for a second successive time as she chased home all-the-way winner Lake Victoria in the G3 Sweet Solera Stakes on Saturday, 10 August. 

The Charlie Appleby-trained juvenile, stepping up to seven furlongs after going down by three-quarters of a length in the G2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes, found plenty of cover in last of the seven runners. 

Mountain Breeze travelled powerfully into the race and quickened between horses to dispute second passing the furlong-pole. She saw out the trip well without challenging Lake Victoria, who prevailed by two lengths.
