Well-travelled five-year-old Nations Pride attempts to match Rebel’s Romance with victory in a sixth different country when he lines up in the G2 Bahrain International Trophy for a second year on Friday, 15 November.

The Teofilo entire has posted Listed and Group wins in the UK and the UAE, in addition to G1 success in the United States of America, Germany and Canada.

Nations Pride headed to Bahrain 12 months ago on the back of a decisive win in the G1 Woodbine Mile but was unable to run to the same level as he finished seventh behind Spirit Dancer.

He returns for Charlie Appleby following another impressive display in North America, having taken the G1 Arlington Million by a comfortable length and three-quarters at Colonial Downs in August.

Charlie Appleby said: “Nations Pride comes into this on the back of a nice win in the Arlington Million and looks in great shape. He has settled in well in Bahrain and the team there have been pleased with his preparation during the week. He looks a leading contender based on his form so far this year.”
