Four-year-old colts Safety Check and Lightning Moon line up in the Group Two Saint Gobain Weber Park Stakes over seven furlongs at Doncaster, UK, on Saturday, September 12.

Safety Check (Charlie Appleby/William Buick) quickened strongly from the rear to take third behind Toormore in the Group Two Qatar Lennox Stakes over the same trip at Goodwood on July 28.

The son of Dubawi won three times on turf at Meydan, UAE, at the start of the year, including impressive Group Two victories in the Zabeel Mile Sponsored by Al Naboodah Construction Group and the seven-furlong Al Fahidi Fort Sponsored by Gulf News.

Lightning Moon (Ed Walker/Graham Lee) makes his first appearance since coming home a close seventh on his first start of 2015 in the Group Two Duke of York Clipper Logistics Stakes over six furlongs at York on May 13.

The Shamardal colt was previously unbeaten in three starts, all over six furlongs, including a head success over Danzeno in the Group Three John Guest Bengough Stakes on soft ground at Ascot in October.

Charlie Appleby said: "Safety Check ran a very good race at Goodwood and has done well since.

"Seven furlongs is an ideal distance for him and he doesn't have to carry any penalty for his Group Two wins at Meydan, which is also a plus.

"He prefers better ground and, providing there is not too much rain at Doncaster, he should run another good race."

Ed Walker commented: "Lightning Moon is in great order and I am extremely happy with him. I am hoping for some rain on Saturday as any give underfoot will help him.

"He had a little setback after York, which ruled out some of the summer targets but, given the ground conditions, it was no bad thing.

"His big target is the Prix de la Foret and we expect him to come on for the Park run. This will hopefully be a nice stepping stone for Longchamp and I am looking forward to getting him back on the track."

Safety Check and Lightning Moon face 13 others including Group One Commonwealth Cup runner-up Limato, Irish Group Three winner Home Of The Brave and dual 2,000 Guineas third Ivawood.

Iffraaj captured the Park Stakes for Godolphin in 2006.
