September Stakes third for Sky Hunter on return

Sky Hunter returned to action with a staying on third in the G3 totescoop6 September Stakes over a mile and a half on Polytrack at Kempton Park, UK, on Saturday, September 3.
The six-year-old previously raced when 22nd in the G1 Emirates Melbourne Cup over two miles at Flemington, Australia, in November, 2015.
Sky Hunter, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and partnered by James Doyle, was settled in fourth of the six runners as Noble Gift led.
The Godolphin contender moved up to third after entering the straight and kept on well to challenge for second, just failing by a head to beat Robin Of Navan for that position.
The winner Arab Spring overcame Robin Of Navan by two and a quarter lengths in 2m 33.07s. Sky Hunter finished clear of the fourth on his first start on an All-Weather surface.
Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Sky Hunter needed the run and will improve for it.
"We will keep the options open for him and see how he comes out of this race.
"He is one of our horses entered for races in Australia but there are other options too.
