Saeed bin Suroor and Charlie Appleby, Godolphin's two private trainers based between the UK and Dubai, have each pin-pointed five two-year-olds they expect to see in the winner's enclosure by the end of the season.

Two have already tasted victory and can win again, while some have run and will be better for the experience. The rest are preparing for their racecourse debut.

They are listed below, with comments from their respective trainers.

SAEED BIN SUROOR

DUBAI FASHION b f 2yrs (Dubawi - Oriental Fashion): She is a nice filly, who has been working very well at home. She is ready to go.

FIRST VICTORY b f 2yrs (Teofilo - Eastern Joy): A lovely type, who seems to be improving all the time. Her last two bits of work were very encouraging. She has a bright future. We will start her off at 7 furlongs.

GREAT ORDER b or br c 2yrs (Distorted Humor - Michita): Worked over six furlongs earlier this week. I like this colt very much, and so does James Doyle, who has been riding him. He is not far away from a run.

MOVE UP b c 2yrs (Dubawi - Rosinka): Showed early speed and much fight to win at Leicester on Tuesday. He is ready to step up in class and distance by the end of the season.

TOWN'S HISTORY ch c 2yrs (Hard Spun - Smooth Charmer): He's a nice colt and I like him very much. Back in April, he was very weak, but five months later he has strengthened and is ready to go. He is very honest in his work at home. He has class.

CHARLIE APPLEBY

CHESS MASTER br c 2yrs (Shamardal - Cassandra Go): He was a sales topper at 1.7m guineas and is a half-brother to Halfway To Heaven. I was very happy with his 3rd first time out in a Leicester maiden. He should continue to progress, and has plenty of good entries.

CLOCK WATCHER b c 2yrs (Shamardal - Hypnology): He was beaten over six lengths when seventh in a six-furlong Newmarket maiden on debut. But I was very happy with that, and he has progressed well since. He is a lovely individual.

EMOTIONLESS b c 2yrs (Shamardal - Unbridled Elaine): He broke his maiden at Newmarket over seven furlongs early last month. He has been shaping as one of our most promising colts and is scheduled to take his chance in Saturday's G2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.

FIRNAS b c 2yrs (Dubawi - Crystal Music): He was fifth in a Newmarket maiden over seven furlongs on debut. I am very pleased with how he came out of that race. Seven furlongs to one mile before the end of the season should be an ideal distance for him. Will make a bright three-year-old.

ISTIQLAAL b c 2yrs (Oasis Dream - Independence): This half-brother to Mount Nelson is a lovely scopey two-year-old, who I think will make into a very able three-year-old. One to watch in the last few weeks of the season.
