Urlacher bids for a first victory on his G1 debut in the Los Alamitos Futurity over an extended mile on dirt at Los Alamitos, California, USA, on Saturday, December 19.
The Eoin Harty-trained juvenile has placed in maidens on all four of his starts, including when demoted to second for causing interference after beating Sorryaboutnothing by a neck over a mile at Del Mar last time out on November 15.
He was a clear second behind subsequent G2 runner-up Mor Spirit over the same trip at Santa Anita on October 23 and was third in an extended six-furlong race at the same course on September 27.
The Discreet Cat colt's debut resulted in second place in a Del Mar maiden over six and a half furlongs on August 29. James Graham, who has partnered Urlacher on all four appearances, takes the ride again.
Eoin Harty said: "Urlacher has been working very well and I am really happy with him.
"He was a little green and got a bit tired on his latest start, which is why he wandered around in the straight.
"He has run very good races against tough opposition and I think this race is worth a shot."
Urlacher, drawn one, takes on six others including Del Mar G3 scorer Toews On Ice, Mor Spirit, G1 Frontrunner Stakes third Hollywood Don and Sorryaboutnothing.
