Beautiful Love looks to back up two strong Meydan performances when she makes her US debut in the G2 Lake Placid Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday, 17 August.

The Charlie Appleby-trained filly was runner-up to subsequent G1 Belmont Oaks and G2 Saratoga Oaks scorer Cinderella’s Dream in the Jumeirah Fillies Classic in February before taking a conditions race by six lengths later the same month.

After placing on her first two career starts, Beautiful Love comfortably won at Newmarket in September before rounding off her juvenile campaign at the same course with a fourth on heavy ground in the Listed Montrose Stakes.

Charlie Appleby said: “Beautiful Love has enjoyed a good preparation going into this. She’s drawn out wide and it’s her first experience of racing in North America, so she will be learning on the job.

“She brings a nice level of form into the race and you would hope that she can run very creditably, especially considering what Cinderella’s Dream has achieved over the summer. We are hoping to use this is a springboard to stepping up in trip, and we might potentially look at the E P Taylor Stakes or Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup afterwards.”
