Beijing steps up to G3 level for the Prix Daphnis over nine furlongs at Chantilly, France, on Wednesday, June 22.

The three-year-old son of Dubawi, trained by Andre Fabre in France, was headed near the line when going down by a head to Canessar in a 10-furlong conditions race on good ground at the same course on May 9.

He made three appearances in maidens, two this year and one in 2015, and enjoyed a three-length success over nine furlongs on heavy going at Maisons-Laffitte on April 13.

Lisa-Jane Graffard, Godolphin's representative in France commented: "Beijing has improved with every run of his career and is in great form.

"This trip suits him well and we hope that he can continue his progress."

Mickael Barzalona takes the ride for the first time on Beijing, who faces four other three-year-olds headed by G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains fourth George Patton.
