Big Blue makes a second consecutive appearance over a mile and seven furlongs at Longchamp, France when going for the Group Two Qatar Prix Chaudenay on Saturday, October 3.

The Andre Fabre-trained colt kept on well to go down by a length and a quarter to Vazirabad over the course and distance in the Group Three Prix de Lutece on September 6.

The three-year-old quickened strongly for a comfortable success in a Deauville Listed contest, also over 15 furlongs, on August 16 and has been second or third on all four of his other starts this year, including when finishing runner-up to subsequent Group One winner Erupt in a 12-furlong Listed race at Lyon Parilly in May.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: "Big Blue is in great form.

"We would have preferred a bit more cut in the ground and he has a bit to find with Vazirabad but we are hopeful of a good run."

Big Blue, with Mickael Barzalona in the saddle as usual, takes on six other three-year-olds including Vazirabad and Goodwood Listed winner The Twisler.

Wareed won the Prix Chaudenay for Godolphin in 2001.
