Big Blue's Longchamp Challenge

Big Blue races at Group Three level in the Prix de Lutece over 15 furlongs at Longchamp, France, on Sunday, September 6.

The three-year-old colt, trained by Andre Fabre, recorded a decisive success by a length and three quarters last time out in a Listed contest over the same distance at Deauville on August 16.

Big Blue has been placed on all his other four starts in 2015, including when the three-quarters of a length runner-up in a 12-furlong Listed contest at Lyon Parilly on May 7.

His best effort in 2014 came when he was third in the 10-furlong Group One Criterium de Saint-Cloud in November.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: "Big Blue is in excellent form and has taken his win at Deauville last time really well.

"He took a long time to come to hand this year but we have been delighted with his recent progress.

"It is a small field on Sunday and any rain will help, as he ideally likes some cut in the ground.

"He has improved through the course of the year and we are hoping he can maintain the momentum going into the autumn."

Regular rider Mickael Barzalona is in the saddle again on Big Blue who takes on five others, including the Group One German Oaks fourth Let's Dance and Group Three third Slatina.
