Fractional steps back up in class and trip on his return to turf in the Group Two Prix d'Harcourt over 10 furlongs at Longhchamp, France, on Monday, April 6.

The Andre Fabre-trained six-year-old faded to fifth behind subsequent Dubai Turf Sponsored By DP World winner Solow on his first start of the year in a mile conditions race on Polytrack at Chantilly on March 3.

He ended a progressive 2014 campaign with his biggest success in the Group Two QNB Prix Dollar over just shy of 10 furlongs at Longchamp in October, when he finished a head behind Cirrus Des Aigles but was awarded the race by the stewards following interference.

That was the son of Manduro's fourth straight success following a hat-trick of impressive victories including a length verdict over Smoking Sun in the Group Three La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte over 10 furlongs at Maisons-Laffitte.

Raphael Marchelli, who partnered Fractional in the QNB Prix Dollar, takes the ride again.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: "Fractional is in great form. He came out of his race at Chantilly really well and the run has brought him on a lot.

"There is a bit of a question mark about the ground because it is going to be very soft but, all being well, he should give a good account of himself."

Fractional, drawn in stall one, tackles nine rivals including three-time Group One winner Al Kazeem plus Smoking Sun and Norse King, who were first and second in the 2014 Prix d'Harcourt.

Cutlass Bay won the 2010 renewal of the Prix d'Harcourt for Godolphin.
