G3 Prix Gladiateur third for Morgan Le Faye

Morgan Le Faye flew home when third in the extended 15-furlong G3 Prix Gladiateur at Longchamp, France, on Sunday, 9 September.
The four-year-old daughter of Shamardal, trained by Andre Fabre and partnered by Mickael Barzalona, raced as last of the nine runners initially.
She then improved to second last and third last on the inner, but did not have a clear passage after entering the straight.
Morgan Le Faye was switched wide and came with a powerful run to take third without having the chance of getting to grips with the winner Called To The Bar and runner-up Holdthasigreen. She was beaten under a length and a half by the winner whose time came to 3m 18.23s on good going.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin reported: “Morgan Le Faye finished very strongly and ran a great race.
“She was a little bit stuck for room a one point in the straight.
“She stays well, likes soft ground and is improving strongly.
“All options are open to her including the Prix du Cadran (G1, 2m 4f, Longchamp, 6 October) and the Prix Royal-Oak (G1, 1m 7f 110y, Longchamp, 28 October).”
