The four-year-old Monsun colt, representing Andre Fabre, makes his Group One debut after battling well for a three quarters of a length victory in the Group Two Grand Prix de Chantilly, also over a mile and a half, at Chantilly on May 31.
He was fourth on his first appearance of the year in the Group Three Prix d'Hedouville over 12 furlongs at Longchamp on May 6, and gained a cosy win over the same course and distance in the Group Two Prix du Conseil de Paris in October.
Mickael Barzalona again partners Manatee, who lines up against eight rivals headed by Group One winners Treve, Dolniya and Flintshire.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: "Manatee is in great form but has a bit to find with some of the Group One winners in the field.
"He won the Grand Prix de Chantilly with a bit in hand and we have no worries about racing on quicker ground this time.
"He deserves to take his chance in a Group One and we are confident that he will run a good race."
