Toormore ran well to finish third in the Group One Qatar Prix de la Foret at Longchamp, France, on Sunday, October 4.

The Richard Hannon-trained four-year-old, who was ridden by James Doyle, disputed third place in the early stages of the seven-furlong contest.

As the field entered the straight, he was asked for an effort and quickened well to take up the running approaching the final furlong.

He was overhauled entering the final furlong but kept on well to take third, finishing just under three lengths behind Make Believe and Limato.

The winning time was 1m 17.05s on good ground.

Richard Hannon said: "That was another great run from Toormore and I am delighted with him. He really is such a tough horse.

"We will see how he comes out of today's race and then have a think about taking him out to Hong Kong for the international races in December."
